Applying for funding for an exchange visits

Criteria for short-term visits:

  • Duration of up to 15 days
  • Work must be related to the MOLTER programme
  • Mainly directed at senior researchers
  • Stay is in a country other than the country of origin (contributing countries preferred)
  • Accompanying documents:
    • description of the proposed work (ca. 250 words) and aim of the visit
    • applicant’s CV (two A4 pages)
    • full address details of the prospective host
    • proposed starting date
    • estimated travel costs

Applications for short-term visits can be submitted online via the ESF application form.

 

Criteria for long-term exchange visits:

  • Duration from 15 days to six months
  • Work must be related to the MOLTER programme
  • Mainly directed at PhD students and young researchers
  • Stay is in a country other than the country of origin (contributing countries preferred)
  • Accompanying documents:
    • description of the proposed work (ca. 1000 words) and aim of the visit,
    • applicant’s CV (two A4 pages),
    • list of five recent publications,
    • letter of recommendation (e.g. applicant’s supervisor), 5) letter of acceptance from the host institution,
    • full address of the prospective host,
    • proposed starting date,
    • estimated travel costs

Applications for long-term exchange visits can be submitted online via the ESF application form.

Researchers benefitting of a travel/exchange visit grant are required to return to their home institution after completion of their stay.
